I found that my earnings going quite well. Today is the 6th and they are already at $0.90. Since the income is usually 1-2 days behind with updating I assume that it is already over $1.00.

If I am right then my monthly income will be lower than lasts months. I said I would try to release 3 articles a week but I struggle with that. But if I want to make more money then I really need to start doing it.

I also found that the two stumble sites I mentioned earlier make a real difference. The page views are getting higher and higher.

For some it might be nothing but I am actually quite happy with how much I am making this month. Almost $6 is more than half of what I have been paid from Triond so far.

After not posting articles for some time I was surprised how my income dropped. Then by just posting a couple more articles my earnings have been increased greatly.

I just found a brilliant way to get links to your content.

Go to these two websites
http://stumblebot.net
http://www.stumblematic.com/

There you can add your urls to stumble upon accounts. This means that people can find your articles, pictures or whatever you have published easier.

You can stumble only 3 times per day. But by using those two sites this still means that you can create 180 links a month for free. If that is not enough then you can buy many more.

Earnings on the rise again

I have published 3 articles since my break and even though they didn't get alot of views my earnings are rising again.

I believe that i is important to regularly post articles. Like I said before I am going to try to publish one article every other day. One of the things on my mind will be that I want to write at least 400 words so that I can then publish the article on Associated Content as well and double my earnings.

It has been a while since I posted here or on Triond. In December I had a very good month by earning $4.34. However since I didn't post anything new my earnings went down in January to $2.93.

So really if you start posting on Triond you need to keep posting. I will try to post now 1 article every other day (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

Because I stopped writing other people became more popular than me and so I disappeared from the popular lists.

My goal is to be on them again by the end of February.

I just realised that I am now in the list of the Hot Members. I am listed in the popular tab. Because of my name I am quite far down. So here is my suggestion.

When you register, choose a name which will list you far at the top. So possibly starting with a number ie 1 or with A. I am sure you will profit from it once you are listed in the Hot Members Section.

Its the 6th today and my payout for December is the same as for the first 1 1/2 months. Since the earnings are always 1-2 days behind I assume that it is more like $1.10.

Yes you are right. Its still not a huge amount but this means that I have probably about $6 this month that I wouldn't have had otherwise.

November has been successful. yes the payment is not huge but I think I learned alot.

Images don't earn you money unless you have 1000's
Some topics get read more often than others.
The more articles you have the more money you get.

From the point I started It took me 1 1/2 months to reach payout level. In December I only needed 4 days.

I realised that it is important that you write articles that others will read. If you know loads about a certain topic that nobody cares about then nobody wil read it and you wont get any money.

So research into what people like to read is important.

I have done a little research about articles. During my search I suddenly realised that for article writers the same rules apply as to Web Developers.

In the web development industry the term SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is very important and often used.

What is SEO?

SEO is a way of ensuring that if a search engine like Google or Yahoo comes to a website, it will get the most from it and the page will be ranked high.

How to apply SEO to articles on Triond

I have to say that I actually haven't done this yet but I am just writing an article following this method. How successful it will be I will discover later.

The first step would be finding 3 - 5 keywords which you want to base your article on. A good tool for this is Google Trends . It will help you see what people search for. Lets say I pick the term SEO to write an article on. If you enter your term you will get a graph on which you will be able to see how many people searched for it.

The graph shows me that it more and more people search for this term. Now I want to compare it with other terms like Search Engine Optimization. So you enter it into the box but seperate SEO and Search Engine Optimization with a comma. You will see that loads more people searched for SEO.

You can also sign up to KeywordCountry and find high paying keywords. However this tool is for Google Ads not for Yahoo which Triond uses. But I am sure that the keywords are very similar.

So you search until you have 3-5 keywords which are popular.

Once you have found them you need to think about what you want to write. Many websites say that you should aim for a keyword desnity of 3%-5%. This means that in every 100 words you should use your keywords 3-5 times.

There are some places where you should use the keywords.

1. Article title: Place the best or even 2 best keywords in the article title.
2. Heading: This is the furst sentence or paragraph.
3. Sub heading: Section your article into differnet parts and place keywords into the sub headings
4. Hyperlinks: example < href="http://link.com">KEYWORD HERE <>

SEO when uploading to Triond

There is one more place where you need to remember your keywords; during upload to Triond.

The important fields are Keywords, Description, Title.

I have already written about the title.

Keywords: Place all your keywords into this field BUT don't write more than 250 characters.

Description: Write a short description about your article filled with keywords. 2-3 sentances are enough.

These will appear in the code of the website but invisible for the user. However the search engines will pick up on that.

So I hope this article will help you.

PCM:Triond vs Associated Content

For those that haven't heared about Associated Content before it is basically the same as Triond with a few differences. When you publish at AC an article which has never been published before you are getting a one off payment. This is great. After this you get a so called Performance Pay which is currently at $1.50 per 1000 views. The only problem is if you are not living in the US you can not receive this one off payment. You will only get the Performance Pay.

Now at Triond you do not get this one off payment but you do get this Performance Pay. However this Performance Pay is a little bit different. Triond is giving your article a value. The value is calculated on how much revenue your article produces. According to them it can be anywhere from $0.5 up to $10 Looking at my current articles I get anything between $0.85 to $4.09 per 1000 views.

So with Triond you could make alot more money if your articles have a high value. Articles that won't have a high value are better at Associated Content. How can we maximise our income then?

Very easy. First submit the article to Triond. Once published submit it to Associated Content as well. You then have potentially a double income from the same content.

Just a little update. My most popular article has just received its 600th hit this month. It would be great to know where the traffic came from in order to promote more articles the same way I promoted this or write more similar articles.

I contacted Triond and suggested them to enable publishers to submit a Google Analytics Tracking id to their profile so that publishers can analyise the traffic they are getting.

Hope they will do this.

Today I found that I am now a popular writer.

On the websites Webupon.com and Computersight.com I am now featured in the Popular Writer section at the left hand side.

I wonder if this will increase my pageviews even more. I hope so.

I had a look around what other authers wrote. I had also a look at the different websites where the content gets published.

I wonder which website is best. So I made some quick checks. First I want to see what Google Pageranks the different websites have.

Looking at what my content earned up to date shows that google pageranks have no impact on your earnings. Yes my top article is on webupon.com but other top content is on pages with pagerank 0.

So don't worry about pageranks.

My first content

So when I received the first payment on the 15th of November I logged into my Triond account and found that my payment for November so far was already $0.54. So I looked at my submitted content.

One of my articles seemed well visited. I had 258 hits on my article called How to Access Blocked Websites. My other article entitled Danger of Proxy Sites had 71 hits.

All my images I uploaded had anything from 0 to 3 hits. This shows that images make much less money and get load less hits. But why is that? Simple answer. Its the search engines fault. They can do much more with text than images. They can analyse the text but they can't really analyse the images.

So I went straight to work and published another 2 short articles. They were:

Free Software - Part 1

I haven't really tried anything with videos or sounds but I don't think I will try that since text is always better than.

Triond Success

About 2 months ago I signed up to Triond. Triond is a service where you can publish articles, images, videos and sounds and get paid for it. Originally I signed up to make some quick money.

In the first 3 days I posted 7 pictures and 2 articles. I was really disappointed because I didn't make the money I wanted. So I left the stuff I posted and just forgot about Triond.

On the 15th of November I suddenly received a payment into my paypal account from Triond. On further investigation I found out that my 2 articles had reasonable traffic. I also discovered that the minimum payput when using paypal is only $0.50.

So I decided to take things further.

This blog is sort of my diary in which I write my findings in the quest to become successful with Triond. Feel free to look at all the articles that I have written and see what I am doing in order to become successful.
